I am not a Brexitair. I did not vote “Brexit”. On my vote slip, the options were, remain or leave. I voted to leave. The scare mongering continues, Britain will collapse when we leave, commerce will cease, manufacturing will have no one to make contracts with. Rubish!! Until 1972, France vetoed our wishes to join, they did’nt want us in. Yes industry will have to re-negotiate deals, but on a much wider scale, worldwide, as opposed to the narrow “only within Europe” restrictions as at present, we won’t have to get permission to deal outside the E.U. The world will open to our exports.
The World exists beyond this small portioned map

I do have to question how “open the world” will be to British exports, because the trade report came out in April 2016 which showed something like a 1 billion GBP trade deficit. Plus, the UK currency is less competitive since it is over-valued, so British products will be more expenses overseas, not counting the tariffs that may be involved. So, in the coming years, the May administration will need to get some fantastic free trade deals to ensure they don’t get any tariffs, as well as even devalue the currency a little bit more so products are more competitive. However, you can’t devalue too much, since then it will raise inflation and make things more expensive at home.

At present , with the value of the pound falling against the Dollar, this makes our exports cheaper to many countries enableing us to export more.I accept imports will be more expensive due to low Pound level, causing as you point out higher costs for us, the consumer, but we are always the ones to foot the bill
